Brian Bell, a Brooklyn artist and graphic designer http://www.lefthandedpublishing.com/ on the finishing touches for an 11 X 17 poster to be given to the students that created the painted graphics.
An installation about the imagined and actual stories of an abandoned building in Brooklyn,NY. It is also about the art of observation and finding little treasures in everyday life. This is an in-school residency at Juan Morel Campos Secondary School with BRIC Contemporary Art Education, a program of BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn.
Seeing this all come together, I think, helped this class' project "click" for students. Getting a poster with their art presented so stylishly was very satisfying.
ReplyDelete...so many fabulous dimensions to this project...a process which I am sure the students will always remember fondly...a deep learning experience...Angela - your ideas forever amaze me...the finished poster really rocks!
