An installation about the imagined and actual stories of an abandoned building in Brooklyn,NY. It is also about the art of observation and finding little treasures in everyday life. This is an in-school residency at Juan Morel Campos Secondary School with BRIC Contemporary Art Education, a program of BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn.
I wanted to break out of the tired old storyboard-based, beginning, middle and end form. Angela shared her work making books with 6 word stories (a la Hemingway's famous "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."), which led us to this idea in a roundabout way.
ReplyDeleteOur next residency will be title ROUNDABOUT?
